Keystone Architecture maintained its strong working relationship with AIT by helping them find a new location to build in the Indianapolis area. Different locations were analyzed by Keystone Architecture to help narrow down the perfect site for a new 18,000 sq. ft. AIT Bioscience Laboratory.
AIT's dream was for the facility to be designed with the latest state-of-the-art lab technology in the industry. To ensure success, Keystone Architecture with practical experience in scientific, regulatory, and client services, developed a custom-designed building to facilitate AIT's needs.
One of the items on the agenda was to ensure that all laboratory instruments, IT resources, and computerized systems could complete projects without interruptions from a local power failure. Keystone Architecture listened and researched the best options and installed a diesel flywheel generator.
A fire suppression system was another item high on the critical needs list along with fume hoods and fresh air intake. All of these requests were thoroughly analyzed and became an essential part of the final design.
